1. Product

ChatPiP keeps user-selected YouTube and Twitch video plus live chat visible in customizable picture-in-picture windows and provides multistream, favorites, layout and automation tools. ChatPiP is currently offered for Chrome on desktop. Features, platform compatibility and availability may change as browsers and streaming services evolve.

2. Trial, prices, payment and refunds

The Chrome trial is a seven-day Freemius license. Starting it requires an email address and activation of the license key Freemius sends, but no payment method. It ends without automatic renewal or charge. Older local-trial records that were already running when this model was introduced may be honoured only until their original deadline. After the trial, Chrome has a €4.99 one-time base price plus applicable tax, and no subscription. Freemius handles checkout, receipts, taxes, licensing, refunds and disputes. The ChatPiP provider identified above—not Google—is responsible for the product and support.

Chrome refund policy: Full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Mandatory consumer cancellation, warranty and refund rights remain unaffected.

Existing permanent unlocks will not be converted into subscriptions.

3. License and acceptable use

You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the purchased product. A Chrome Freemius license key is a credential: keep it confidential and use the Freemius portal for recovery/device management. “Permanent unlock” means continued access without recurring payment; it does not promise perpetual availability of third-party platforms, every future operating system, or unrelated future services.

You may not resell, misrepresent, maliciously modify or use ChatPiP to violate law, platform rules or third-party rights. ChatPiP does not grant access to content you could not otherwise access or rights to redistribute platform content.

4. Third-party platforms

YouTube, Twitch, Chrome, Safari, Freemius, Apple and the browser/app stores are third-party services. Their terms, policies, accounts, availability, restrictions and technical decisions remain outside ChatPiP’s control. ChatPiP is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, YouTube, Twitch, Amazon, Apple or Freemius.

5. Updates and availability

Updates may add, modify or remove features to improve reliability, security, store compliance or compatibility. There is no promise that every third-party stream, chat mode, browser version or operating system will always remain compatible.

6. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains ChatPiP’s local processing, purchase processing, permissions, storage and deletion behavior and forms part of these terms.

7. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ChatPiP is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, compatibility or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the provider is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost revenue, platform suspension or third-party service interruption arising from use of ChatPiP. Mandatory consumer rights and liability that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.
